OTTWA & EWA ANNOUNCE 2021-22 CLINIC SEASON
Excellent opportunities are on offer for horses and riders across Western Australia to benefit from the expertise and experience of Equestrian Australia-approved coaches in the year ahead.
Off the Track WA (OTTWA) in partnership with Equestrian Western Australia (EWA) are excited to announce an extensive list of OTTWA clinic dates for the 2021 to 2022 season. This is the third season of clinics which provide accessible education opportunities to off the track horse owners and riders.
OTTWA Clinics cater for a range of rider and horse education and experience levels; from green horses being introduced to a competition environment to experienced horses and riders looking to further improve. The clinics assist in building connections and a support network amongst the off the track community. In a 2021 survey of clinic attendees over 99% said they thought the OTTWA clinics either did or may make owning an off the track horse more appealing.
Popular Clinic types being again made available include the Classic Clinic, Training Days, Social Rides and Regional Clinics. As a result of the popularity of the clinics and with view to include as many off the track riders and horses as possible OTTWA is proud to introduce New Combination Clinics. These clinics are available to rider and horse combinations which have not attended an OTTWA clinic in the six months preceding the clinic date.
The 2020-2021 season saw over 550 clinic registrations from nearly 400 thoroughbreds and standardbreds across the state. Regional Clinics, which saw close to 200 registrations were held at locations such as the Albany, Esperance and Geraldton Equestrian Centers. All horses which attend must have a current OTTWA Passport which is free to apply for. Nearly 2,500 thoroughbreds and standardbreds now have their OTTWA Passport, which was launched in August 2019.
OTTWA and EWA look forward to continuing to support the WA off the track community in 2022.
