All West & Sophie Stott | A Talented Combination Heading East.
Off the Track WA is excited to announce sponsorship of show jumpers All West and Sophie Stott for their Eastern States campaign.
Familiar names in the WA show jumping circuit, and proud representatives of retired racehorses this combination have their eyes set on the Arilla Cup, Australian Jumping Championships and the TSHA Australian Titles.
All West finished racing under Brett Southcott in 2016 after 34 starts for four wins, three seconds and five thirds and $35,935 in prizemoney. Bred by Brett, All West travelled across coastal and inland WA with starts from Bunbury to Leinster to Port Hedland, he now resides with Sophie Stott near Perth.
“Skip” began his off the track career with Kate Allen in 2016 where the gelding experienced his first taste of show jumping. Sophie took him on in early 2019 and they soon stepped up to Amateur and Bronze classes. That year they competed at the Perth Royal Show where they placed third in the Six Bar competition, clearing 1.45m.
Skip and Sophie now have many notable achievements to their names including being presented the 2021 and 2022 Perth Royal Show Off the Track High Point Show Jumping Award, 2021 EWA Off the Track Jumping Horse, and the winning the 2020 State Amateur Jumping Leaderboard.
Their event results include winning the 1.20m Amateur class at Yalambi Farm Stud’s Show Jumping Classic in November 2021, the 1.15 class at the 2022 Geraldton Show Jumping Classic, and last years’ 1.10 off the track class at Patrons Cup.
In the lead up to their first interstate trip together, Skip and Sophie have competed at the Perth Royal Show and Patrons Cup. At the Royal Show they competed in Part Three and came fifth in the Part Three Table Three. Skip jumped in the Mini Prix (1.25m and above) with just one rail in the first round and one rail in the second round. Last weekend, at the prestigious Patrons Cup event they placed fourth in the 1.20m off the track class.
Their final event before their trip across the Nullabor, the pair will take on the 1.20 Amateur Qualifier and 1.20 Amateur State Final classes at the WA Jumping Championships.
Early the following week Skip and Sophie will set off on their journey, destined for Phil Lever’s Mornington Peninsular property.
Wish this exciting combination the best of luck and can’t wait to follow their journey.
