Conrad’s Mission | Hall is on a Mission with Conrad!

Conrad’s Mission is a 2015 My Admiration gelding bred by Gold Front Thoroughbreds Breeding and Racing. This striking chestnut gelding began his racing career in 2018 with four trials under trainer, Daniel Morton, before moving onto Susan Olive, who trained Conrad’s Mission for his eight starts. Conrad retired with $4,000 in earnings after a handful of fourth place placings and a second in the Carlton United Brewery Maiden at Pinjarra Race Club with Ryan Hill onboard, his one and only top three placing throughout his racing career.

Following his retirement in 2020, Conrad was let down from racing and retrained by Linda Brenzi, before being introduced to current owner and rider, Jaime Hall. Jaime had recently lost a beloved young thoroughbred and did not believe she was quite ready for another one, but after one sit upon Conrad, her mind was immediately changed.

“Conrad has been really rewarding to train. I have only had him about twelve months, but he has a heart of gold and tries his hardest to understand what it is that I am asking of him,” commented Jaime fondly.

Although a sensitive soul, Conrad proved to be a natural talent and enjoyed his first few outings off property so much, Jaime commented that he was almost quieter to ride off property than he was to ride at home. He has taken to eventing like a duck to water and has proved himself to excel within the sport with some impressive wins in his first year of competing. Piloted by Jaime, Conrad’s Mission’s most notable achievements include winning at his first eventing start at Dryandra 2022, a win in the 65 OTT class at Gidgegannup ODE in 2022, a win in the 80cm OTT class at Capel CCN in 2023 and completing his first 95cm start at Wooroloo CCN 1, where he finished 2nd on his dressage score with a confident cross country run.

Jaime is thrilled to have stepped Conrad up to 95cm heights and aims to continue consolidating their partnership and techniques around the larger heights. She is confident that he will progress well into the star level heights but is under no pressure to push him further at this time. The pair have already flown through the levels with ease and hope to continue to compete successfully for a long time to come.

OTTWA wish Conrad and Jaime all the best for their continued future together.
