EWA Awards Night | OTT Horse of the Year
Off the Track WA were pleased to have been in attendance of the annual 2023 EWA Awards Night, hosted the at Ritz Carlton.
The competition was hot for OTT Horse of the Year, with horses and riders competing throughout the year.
We are thrilled to announce the winners of the 2023 OTT Horse of the Year!
- 1. Out of Line (GI War Machine) – Competed by Riley Lyall
Out of Line is a 10 year old Blackfriars gelding who retired from racing in 2018. Since retiring, Out of Line has taken on the name of GI War Machine with competitive event rider, Riley Lyall on board. Together, Out of Line and Riley have competed tirelessly throughout the year of 2023 to claim the title of OTT Horse of the Year!
- 2. Lyrical Discourse (Moet) – Competed by Tegan Cook
Twelve year old Discorsi gelding, Lyrical Discourse retired from racing in 2014. Partnered with talented event rider, Tegan Cook, Moet has competed strongly throughout the year to claim Runner-Up OTT Horse of the Year!
- 3. Lascia Star (Petite Etoile) – Competed by Lauren King and Owned by Fiona Whife
Lascia Star is a seven-year-old mare by Viscount who retired in 2020 after only five starts. Since retiring, “Stella” has transformed in a show horse and has dominated the OTT classes in 2023 to claim Second-Runner Up OTT Horse of the Year.
