OTTWA Clinic Wrap-Up | Baldivis Classic Clinic
On August 10, Off the Track WA hosted a Classic Clinic at Baldivis Equestrian and Pony Club. With coaches, Krystal Wang, Dianne Colley and Karen Spice, over 30 retired racehorses registered for this clinic. We were thrilled to see so many horses utilizing the lessons offered at OTTWA clinics to develop further into their off the track careers.
We were joined by a wide variety of horses, from those who never raced to those who raced in multiple starts. Windward Blaze was the horse with the most amount of race starts in attendance with 62 races. The highest earning retired racehorse in attendance was Theo Aviator, another Standardbred who won over $200,000 on the track. Oratorio had the most progeny in attendance, with both Oreo and Sacred King sired by the renowned stallion. It was fantastic to see horses throughout the day progressing through their lessons and great to be able to reach more participants south of the river.
OTTWA will be back with another clinic on September 07, with an Encouragement Clinic hosted at the State Equestrian Centre. Entries for this clinic close on Sunday, via Nominate.
