OTTWA Interstate Competitor Sponsorship | Gough and Azugo join the Melbourne OTTWA Team
Off the Track WA are proud to be sponsoring rider, Ellie Gough, and her retired racehorse gelding, Azugo, as they aim to compete at Melbourne International 3DE. Alongside fellow sponsored horse and rider combo, Charlee and Super Maxi, Ellie and Azugo will be competing in the CCI Junior 2*-L.
Azugo is a 2015 thoroughbred bred in New Zealand, by a British sire and out of a New Zealand mare. Azugo never raced despite his breeding and instead transitioned into his second career as an eventer. Ellie and Azugo have formed a strong partnership as a team since partnering in 2021. Ellie and Azugo, known as Caio, have achieved great things together, such as placing in the Eventing WA 2* Leaderboard in 2023 and winning Runner-Up Young Event Horse in their age bracket.
We wish Ellie and Caio all the best on their journey over to Melbourne. Azugo joins team of three: Super Maxi, Ocean’s Fifteen and Pride of Merisi representing Off the Track WA at Melbourne International 3DE in 2024!
