Super Teroitoa | Can’t Help Falling in Love with Elvis.
Super Teroitoa, a 2012 gelding by Super Kid was imported from South Australia after being purchased at the 2014 Great Southern Sale for $1,000 by Lindsay Park Racing. This handsome gelding earnt his connections $115,940 before retiring in May 2022. Trained by Colin Webster for his forty-six starts, the gelding retired with five wins and thirteen placings.
Elvis was advertised on the Rehome a Racehorse WA Facebook page after retirement, which was where Kasey Manolini came across him. After a lovely conversation with Colin’s son, Brandon Webster, about Elvis, the Webster family agreed to part with Super Teroitoa with the belief that he would be in the best of care with the Manolini family. Kasey and Brandon continue to stay connected, sending videos and updates on Super Teroitoa regularly.
“It was Colin’s one request that we stay in contact.” Kasey said.
Since adding Elvis to the family, Kasey has been impressed by his impeccable temperament and sweet nature. He has proven to be a pleasure to work with and tries his hardest at everything he does. Elvis is regularly ridden by Kasey’s 11-year-old son at home and at pony club, as well as competing in dressage and cross country with Kasey on board. Elvis has taken to his new career off the track like a duck to water, winning Best Mannered Off the Track Horse at one of their recent events in Albany. Elvis is a beautiful and calm soul who thoroughly enjoys being pampered by Kasey’s son and daughter.
Although Elvis came to Kasey fresh off the track, he has adapted quickly to his new career. Together the pair have attended two dressage days, bringing home impressive scores in the prepatory classes with percentages in the high sixties. They won Runner-Up Off the Track Horse at the Summer Solstice Dressage Day held by Southern Districts Dressage Club, as well as Runner-Up Highpoints Off the Track winner at the Albany Pony Club Summer Sizzler. The pair continue to improve from strength to strength, further building their bond as a team. Kasey commented that she could not pin-point one single favorite moment in which stands out to her as each one is memorable.
Kasey hopes to bring Elvis up to elementary level dressage but also commented that she would be happy with anything if he remains happy and sound. We wish Kasey and Elvis all the best in the 2023 season!
