Tiff Has Spoken | Sweet Big Buzz Ready to Jump
Tiff Has Spoken is a thoroughbred gelding aptly named after his sire, God Has Spoken and dam, Tiffany Island. Tiff Has Spoken first trialed in 2019, before entering his first race in 2020. Following a career of 37 starts, Tiff Has Spoken retired from racing in 2022 with four wins and ten placings. Trained by Sharon Miller, Tiff Has Spoken retired with lifetime earnings of $164,725 for breeders and owners, the Roberts family.
Following retirement, Tiff Has Spoken transitioned into an off the track lifestyle, showing promise in jumping and other disciplines. In February of 2024, ‘Buzz’ was purchased by Saige Jacobs Maskell.
“My first impression of Buzz was that he looked like a very sweet horse. He was a gentle giant, and he looked like he would help me excel in this sport,” commented Saige.
Saige describes Buzz as a cuddly, friendly and gentle boy. He enjoys his work and particularly looks forward to jumping in his training. Due to an injury that set back their training, Saige and Buzz haven’t had a chance to compete yet; despite this, they have been working hard together and have established an exciting bond.
Buzz and Saige have attended OTTWA Clinics throughout the year, aiming to be jumping comfortably without getting overexcited. Saige hopes to compete at the Perth Royal Show one day and is confident that Buzz is the horse that can take her there. They also have their sights set on competing at Equestrian in the Park further down the line.
OTTWA wish Saige all the best with her future pursuits with Buzz and we look forward to following along with their journey as they progress.
