Two Chances & Natalie Hibbert | Returning to Adelaide International Horse Trials
Off the Track WA is excited to announce sponsorship of Two Chances and Natalie Hibbert for their 2023 Adelaide International Horse Trials campaign.
Two Chances, a 2007 Partners Choice (USA) gelding was bred in Tasmania, never making it to the track. Affectionately known as Wally, Two Chances was first re-educated by Megan Daun in Tasmania, before competing with Jess Manson. Wally and Jess competed up to two-star eventing, travelling across to WA. In 2014 Wally won what was then known as Eventing in The Park, piloted by Chris Burton.
In 2015 Natalie Hibbert purchased the talented gelding. Together the pair have competed up to four-star eventing, and 1.25m show jumping. In 2019 they won the three-star short format class at Wooroloo CCI, and in 2021 placed second at Brigadoon CCI and third at Wooroloo in the three-star short format classes. Last year they took out the 1.20m Off the Track class at Patron’s Cup.
“Wally has taught me patience to a whole new level, and I love him to bits. The hard work has been so rewarding and he just loves to jump which makes it so much fun.”, Natalie says.
They have travelled across for the Adelaide International Horse Trials in 2017, 2018, and 2019. Each time they have gone clear in cross country, and this year they hope to have a clear show jumping round too.
“Our main aim is to finish with a sound happy horse and have many more lovely memories of this amazing horse. Everyone around Wally loves him for the special boy he is.” Natalie says.
Wally and Natalie will begin their trip Wednesday next week, with the event starting on 20 April. We know there will be WA eventing enthusiasts making the trip to this great event, so make sure Wally and Natalie can hear you cheer them on!
We wish Wally and Natalie all the best for the trip and look forward to providing updates.
